Megabolts that are to be pre-tensioned, are normally anchored in the bore hole using standard resin cartridges. The length of encapsulation will be appropriate for the mine roof strata, and the required level of pre-tensioning. A resin dam is fitted to the bolt to contain the resin within the anchoring zone. Megabolts can also be supplied with mechanical anchors.
