Standard Megabolts can be used to anchor high capacity roof trusses. Trusses consist of lengths of 15.2mm (0.6in) diameter high tensile strand, attached to special Megabolt bearing plates, and tensioned using standard barrel and wedge type anchors.

Megabolts are usually 60 tonne capacity, installed at either 15° or 30° to the vertical and cement grouted. Bearing plates can be supplied for parallel or criss-cross truss layouts.
